I wanted to introduce you to the patriarch of the next generation: Heron the Ram.

He just turned one year old. His fleece is AMAZING just like his brother Hawk’s fleece. They are both out of Tzatziki (very crimpy) and Hestia (long staple length and locky) and are unidentical twins.

Heron is a very sweet boy (more mild of a disposition than his father) and hopefully carries the genetics to pass on his great horns to his male offspring. His brother Hawk (a bit skittish) only has great scurs and doesn’t have white fur. Their fleeces are much longer and lockier than their father Tzatziki’s. So, they seem to have been blessed with the best genetics from both mother and father.

Anyways, you will be seeing much more of Heron in the future as Tzatziki is now retired! Below are some pics of Heron’s 6+ lb. lamb fleece to get a better idea.

So much crimp!
