Thanks a lot, Isaiah! What an ice storm! Although it wasn’t the worst ice storm ever, it did knock our power out for 8 hours. We got power back on at midnight last night. Thank you, linemen!

The livestock were all snuggly buttoned up in the barn. We got a fire going in the fireplace, lit a bunch of candles, melted some brie, toasted some garlic bread, roasted some weenies, and heated up some collards and black-eyed peas! Boy, reminds me of my Forest Service cabin camping back in the day. Kinda nostalgic.

Brie fondue with garlic bread. Don’t forget the weenies!

Crazy how depressing it sounds with the wind blowing through the ice, like muted wind chimes.

The aftermath…
