We purchased a high top dining table and chairs when we first got married. Mink likes to sit on a chair, find a crack in the vinyl, and tear bits and pieces off. So, I decided it was time…

Time to reupholster the dining chairs! The chairs are 13 years old. I really like this DIY video by Online Fabric Store. The most important tip I can pass along is to make sure you get yourself a staple remover and lifter. It makes the job so much easier and faster! Worth every penny.

I did replace the foam cushion with 3″ memory foam and some batting to make a more comfortable cushion. The material is an indoor/outdoor fabric, but it’s not as heavy weight as the vinyl was. We will see how long it lasts.

The old foam cushion has been commandeered by Mouse. Now I’m wondering if I’m going to have to leave this ugly thing in the middle of the living room floor forever!
